B8log Madonna entry 1
JUST FOR FUN - Biscuit 8’s Commentary on our goal to photograph a really, really super famous person... Madonna!
So this is a blog right – we can have some fun with it right?
Well we thought it would be fun to share the steps involved in photographing a really, really famous person and what it would take to get there!
So why not pick someone really, super duper famous, we chose Madonna.
Ok, so Madonna is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century and the second top-selling female artist in the United States with sixty-three million certified albums.
In 2007, Guinness World Records listed her as the world's most successful female recording artist of all time and she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the following year.
Considered to be one of the most influential women in contemporary music, Madonna has been known for continually reinventing her music and image and for retaining a standard of anonymity within the recording industry; she is recognized as an influence among numerous music artists.
BUT we're even more obsessed with Madonna's quarter century-long reign as a fashion icon.
So, imagine what a buzz it would be to stand behind a camera with the lens focused on Madonna. WOW! Total coolness would be attained.
The shoot would be controlled and creatively managed by her but WOW – she is an icon and one of the most beautiful women in the world.
OK, back to reality...
Facts-
Madonna is a close friend of Steven Klein, who photographed her in December 2008 for W Magazine and he has worked with her extensively.
How do you get the job of being her photographer?
Let’s try and take the right steps to get there...

I love your blog. I just read that Madonna announced she is giving music a rest, saying she doesn't have the "time or energy" to sing. Interesting! What do you think about that?
