Business Cards – To image or not to image...

I recently responded to an interesting discussion on linked in – regarding, whether or not a photographer should use an image on his card. As a consultant & representative we recommend reserving images for your promotional pieces, and advise you to market the brand... YOU ARE THE IMAGE MAKER.

What creates credibility is what becomes associated with your name and professional reputation.

Perhaps the particular potential art buyer doesn't like the particular image - then you will always be dismissed, and as you only have a few precious seconds to make an impression - that will be the one to stick and you will forever have to make the climb over that one image.
However if you remember that the service they are buying is your ability to make and create images, your distinct eye, view point, rendition of concepts and professionalism, then really what it's about is letting them know who YOU are, and driving that potential lead to view a variety of images - one of which they are sure to love!

A well-designed card is the key to your first impression; make it pop - in a good way!
